From fishtanks to four-square, our staff does it all. Each member of our team comes from a rich background, whether in the arts, athletics, music, science, dance, or social justice. All our staff are civic-minded & interested in community development, and are actively pursuing their own passions and interests outside of Extended Day.
Though I didn't know it when I started here as a teacher in 1978 (and then became Director in 1983), Extended Day has come to define a big part of my life. With every year's new children, families, staff, and challenges, I feel energized...and grateful to be in such good company.
I started with Extended Day in 2004 as a Wolfpack teacher (Slytherin Head Alum represent), and have grown so much with this program in those 13 years. I'm excited to move into my new role as AD and continue working in a more administrative capacity--but that doesn't mean I don't love working with the kids when I get the chance (which, luckily, is often!) At home, I'm a jewelry designer, food enthusiast, and bunny-mom who loves to play Zelda: Breath of the Wild ;)
I am happy to say I'm returning to Beehive for my 9th year! I've come to Boston by way of Vermont, where I graduated from Green Mountain College with a BFA in painting and environmental studies. Aside from hanging out with really cool kids and doing creative projects with them, I spend my time listening to records, birdwatching, reading in a hammock, and planning adventures.
Head of Hufflepuff
Hi there! I'm excited for the chance to return to my badger roots (Wisconsin born and raised --> Hufflepuff Head of House) this year with the Wolfpack! I've come by way of Wellesley College (BA in Philosophy) and an assortment of jobs which included everything from playing pipe organ to installing rooftop gardens. When not scheming about off-the-wall projects to lead, you can find me backpacking in the White Mountains, or reading anything by Ursula K Le Guin!
Head of Gryffindor House
Unbelievably, this is my 15th year with Wolfpack! I feel as fortunate as ever to work with the incredible people I do- adults and kids alike. I strive to model kindness and empathy in the face of challenges, both here and at home, and I am thankful that everyday brings the opportunity to try again/do better next time! When I’m not here, I’m usually reading with my two boys, Hugo And Leon, spending time outdoors, or in my studio to draw & paint.
Head of Ravenclaw House
During my summers, I'm the Music Director at Camp Kaleidoscope. I've been working with kids of all ages for 7 years but am new to Wolfpack! I once got to play the title role in my favorite musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. I also love ocelots and am a self-identified Ravenclaw.
I joined the Extended Day as a sub, but now I'm stoked to now be a part of the staff! My work history includes experiences in outdoor adventure and environmental education. Recently, I graduated Lesley University with a masters in Community Arts focusing on Environmental Art. When not leading messy science experiments with Sharktank, I work as a freelance movement artist and yin yoga teacher.
Hey! This is my first year at Lincoln Extended Day & I could not be more excited. I'm a recent graduate of Bennington College with a concentration in early childhood education and computer science. In the past, I have also been a drama counselor and a French teacher. When I'm not teaching, I love finding new coffee shops, playing Pokémon, and trying to train my cat, Goblin.
My name is Madison, I'm a recent college graduate and I studied Political Science. I'm from New Hampshire but I've moved to the Boston area for my first year with Lincoln Extended Day. I like outdoorsy things like hiking and biking and gardening. :)
Head of Slytherin House
Hello! I graduated from RISD with a BFA in Industrial Design and have been working as a freelance designer and artist. I have a love for typography, podcasts, architecture, animation and comics and books (the classics and fantasy fiction).
I’m thrilled to be joining Extended Day! I’m new to Boston, coming from my hometown of Portland, Maine, to follow my passion for design at Massachusetts College of Art through their Graphic Design Certificate Program. Since graduating from Smith College, you could find me rock climbing, printmaking, practicing my latte art, or swimming in rivers!
I am thrilled for my 14th year with the program! Every year is so different from the last. No two days have ever been the same! Before Extended Day, I studied Art History and Printmaking at Framingham State College. I am inspired every day by the kids I work with, and I strive to soak up life with the curious eye of a kid. I'm so proud to be part of this fantastic community, and I look forward to another great year at the Lincoln School!
Hello! My name is Annie and I'm super excited to be working with Beehive this year. Originally from Illinois, I just moved to Boston after finishing a masters in Comparative Literature. When I’m not translating Italian poetry, I love to swing dance, do kooky crafts, and listen to bluegrass music. I’m looking forward to all the adventures that await at LED this year!
