From fishtanks to four-square, our staff does it all. Each member of our team comes from a rich background, whether in the arts, athletics, music, science, dance, or social justice. All our staff are civic-minded & interested in community development, and are actively pursuing their own passions and interests outside of Extended Day.
Director I started with Extended Day in 2006 as a Wolfpack teacher, and have grown so much with this program in those 15 years. I'm excited to move into my new role as Director and continue working in a more collaborative administrative capacity with Colette! That doesn't mean I don't love working with the kids when I get the chance (which, luckily, is often!) At home, I'm a jewelry designer, food enthusiast, and bunny-parent who loves to play Zelda: Breath of the Wild ;)
Assistant Director Hi y’all! My name is Colette and I am excited to join the Lincoln Extended Day community as the new AD this Fall! I recently graduated Boston University with my masters in Social Work and although this is my first year working with Extended Day I have spent most of my career working with youth both as an educator and administrator. When I am not working, I like to express myself through writing, playing the ukulele (poorly) and going on hikes.
Sharktank Teacher Hi, I'm Madison. I'm a hiker, biker, nature liker. I grew up in New Hampshire, but have greatly enjoyed the move to Boston. I graduated with a B.A in Political Science from St. Lawrence University in 2019. 2021-2022 will be my second year with Shark Tank at Extended Day. My interests are community building, feminism, and youth empowerment, among many other things.
Beehive Teacher Hello! My name is Toby, and this will be my second year working at Lincoln Extended Day. I graduated from Bennington College in 2019 with degrees in early childhood education and computer science. Outside of my job, I enjoy reading, trying to train my cat, playing video games, and exploring in nature. Kids know me for my silliness, love of stories, and caring disposition. I'm incredibly excited to return to the loving, creative, and positive environment of LED!
Beehive Teacher Hello, I'm Juanita! I am so excited to be starting up with Extended Day, I am a writer, coffee snob, and love my precious cat to bits. I love kids, especially when I get to write, get crafty, and generally be creative with them. I am also a lifelong Girl Scout and am looking forward to teaching the Beehive all my favorite silly camp songs. When not working with kids I love long car rides, reading, and getting lost in the sunflowers.
Classroom Coordinator- Sharktank Hi folks! I'm thrilled to be LED's Sharktank Classroom Coordinator. My work with youth centers on creating empowering opportunities through activities and meaningful conversations. I have been teaching in various informal and formal capacities for over a decade, and received my MEd. from Lesley University At LExD, I strive to create engaging curriculum by drawing from my professional experiences in environmental education, circus arts, and dance.
Beehive Teacher I started at Extended Day as a sub way back in 2016 when I was working as an aide at the Lincoln School. Having graduated from sub to full-time teacher, I'm very excited to be returning for my fourth year with Beehive! I love doing music and art-related projects, and sometimes I bring my previous work experience as a "clue master" at Escape the Room Boston to design puzzle-based treasure hunts. In my spare time I like to listen to records, read, and play the rock and roll music.
Sharktank Teacher Hi everyone! I'm an actor and writer who was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a BFA in Contemporary Theater and a minor in Creative Writing. My background working with children includes five summers as a camp counselor/supervisor at White Stadium Sports Center in Jamaica Plain, MA. I'm extremely passionate about the arts, reading, biking/exercising, and enjoying nature, and I'm thrilled to be teaching at LExD.
Wolfpack Teacher I’m thrilled to be joining the Wolfpack! I’ve been part of the Lincoln community for 12 years both as coordinator for the after school activities and as mom to my two amazing kids. I have my MFA in ceramics but have also worked in arts administration, teaching and ran my own upcycled clothing business for 14 years. In my time off I love to garden, hike, backpack, kayak, bake, sew and craft.
Wolfpack Teacher I’m so excited to return for another year of LXD! Outside of LXD, I love to make music and climb mountains.
Classroom Coordinator - Beehive I am a returning staff from four years ago! I am an artist and arts educator with experience facilitating creativity with humans of all ages in all kinds of settings. I spent the last four years developing and managing art programs for families at Boston Children’s Museum. I have always loved the community feeling at LExD and and I can’t wait to put my skills to use in service of exploration, play, and kindness in Beehive.
Sharktank Teacher Hello everyone! This is my first year here both at Lincoln Extended Day and Boston and I could not be even more excited. I’m from Michigan where I got my BFA in Theater Performance, but had recently moved up from Florida. I’m so very excited to experience seasons again! When not working with kiddos you can catch me playing table top games, reading, sewing, and singing musical theater songs at the top of my lungs!
Classroom Coordinator - Wolfpack Hello! This is my 5th year at Extended Day and I love this job so much. I believe play is the most important thing for growth, empathy and happiness (kids and adults!) and this job is the perfect environment for it. I enjoy game creation, gym games and treasure hunts. In my free time I love reading fantasy fiction, wild swimming and working on my many art projects.
Wolfpack Teacher I am so excited to be working with Wolfpack this year! I grew up in the woods of upstate New York where I developed my love for nature and storytelling going to a Live-action Roleplaying summer camp called The Wayfinder Experience. My first time working with kids was at camp, and since then I have worked in arts education, youth theatre, and children's residential care. I graduated from Bennington College in 2020 with a BA in Literature, where I also studied costume design.
Community Support Hello! My name is AJ and I’m starting my first year at Lincoln Extended Day. I’m a homegrown Bostonian, and in addition to LExD, I’m also a DJ! I love to sing, dance, play sports, and help kids discover what they’re passionate about learning! I’m grateful and excited to be a part of a such a unique, inclusive program.
